Texas Hold’em poker is a game where there is as much focus on how and when bets are made as on which cards are played.
There are a few different rules for
whether you play a cash game or a tournament. A tournament has the same basic
rules but has a few more.
Texas Hold’em is played on a table with
two to ten players. The goal is simple, win as many chips as you can one round
at a time. You win a pot by having the best hand or by getting all the other
players to fold (withdraw).
When all players are sitting around the
table, the first thing you do is exchange money for chips. When everyone has
received their chips and has them in front of them, a player is chosen who gets
the button, ie start acting as a donor.
At online poker, this is done automatically. Even if it is a
person, or computer that always hands out the cards, it is still always one who
is a fictitious donor. After each round, the button that marks the sensor moves
one step to the left.
Lay out the blinds, when a game round is
about to start, the blinds are laid out. In Texas Hold’em, there are two blinds,
one big and one small. The player directly to the left of the dealer lays out
the small and the player after the large. The size of a blind depends on the
level of betting you have chosen to play on the current table.
It could be, for example, that the small
one is SG$ 10 and the big one SG$ 20 or where the big players are, maybe the
small one is SG$ 100 and the big one SG $ 200. It may also be the case that the
blind level is raised after certain predetermined playing times. When the
blinds are closed, it’s time to start playing.
