What Is Pai Gow Poker?

Pai Gow poker is a poker version of a domino game called Pai Gow. The object of the game is to make two poker hands: a 5-card hand and a 2-card hand. The 5-card hand must have a better value than the 2-card hand. When you win both hands, you get twice your stake back. If you lose one hand and win one hand, it will result in a tie.

Pai Gow Poker is a simple and quick to learn card game. Hands must be dealt, player and dealer cards must be compared and payouts must be made.

What Is Pai Gow Poker?

For a long playing session you can go to Pai Gow poker and the expected loss per hour will be considerably reduced.

As you can imagine after reading Pai Gow Poker’s simple rules of the game, you often have to deal with a draw. This is the reason why you can play for a very long time with the same balance while there is enough money going back and forth on the poker tables.

The odds of winning one of the two hands are in the player’s favor, making it a relatively relaxing poker game and getting you interactively involved with other gamblers at the table. There is also a reason for this: players can bet against the banker together and simultaneously celebrate their winnings.

How to Bet in Pai Gow Poker

Just like most casino table games Pai Gow poker begins with the player placing a bet before receiving any cards. This is the only bet you will make for the duration of the hand and it must be within the minimum and maximum betting limits of the table.

Game Play

After all players have placed a bet, 7 cards are dealt face down to each player. This is done from a deck of 53 playing cards including a joker. A table does not have to be full to be open. Dealers will also deal cards with fewer players. Then the dealer also gives herself 7 cards from the deck. At a full table, 49 of the 53 cards will be dealt and the remaining four will be discarded.
